Colbey was born in the old Byron Bay hospital, a coastal hub of surfers, musicians, freaks and weirdos and now billionaires and Tesla drivers. Colbey’s songs have a surf influence and are also sculpted from his travels around the world telling stories and drifting off out the window.

A member of Sydney alt rock band Borneo, he cut his stripes playing the Sydney scene for a number of years feeding cult followers sharp bass lines and high energy.

After travelling Australia twice, nearly being stabbed, getting caught in a car fire and falling off a two storey building in Guatemala backwards into power lines - well he’s just happy to be here, sharing music and film and surfing along the way.
