LATE NIGHT: Look At The State Of The Carpet
It’s winter and Stephanie Hart and Lenny Ann Low are back with a brand new show, about friendship, artistic differences and pushing their chins deep into their necks.
Look At The State Of The Carpet, formed from 30-plus years of friendship and a deeper chamber of camaraderie than anticipated, challenges perceptions, societal and social norms, and the size of the Old Fitz Theatre.
Once, Lenny would clean her room and talk about the fine forearms of certain male frontmen, and Steph would lie on the bed and watch what it was like to tidy a room.
Now they’re catatonic marching girls, cheery sandwich-packing typists, bitter ancient servants and good at a lot of bored, sighing, sitting around on stools.
Get ready for the greatest response to long-term friendship so far.
Founding members of Throttle, and long-term members and creators with Frumpus, Lenny and Steph have performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Performance Space, Carriageworks and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
