LATE NIGHT: Tonsils + Tweezers
“Binary stars; a system of stars in which one star revolves around the other, or both revolve around a common centre… like friends. Like best friends.”
Tonsils and Tweezers are a dynamic duo; think Wham!, toothbrush and toothpaste, the Macbeths.
It’s the kind of inextricable friendship that is built on banter, in-jokes and the weight of shared past. But one life-altering night has left a fracture between them, a wound that refuses to close. On this day, the day of their high school reunion, Tweezers will down tools, take out a gun and ask, “Tonsils, ever wanted to kill someone?”
At its core, this is a play about our men; how they love each other, hate each other and mourn. It’s sharp, joyful and devastating.
