How to Build Training Series
How to build lesson quality: why teaching less improves lessons (40 min)
Most SRE teachers can't get through the material in their lessons but are not sure what elements of the lessons to cut. This workshop will explore how teaching "less is more" in SRE and provide helpful principles and examples of how to discern what should stay in, and what should be left out to maximise student learning.
How to build student trust: why relationships with students matter (40 min)
We all have had favourite teachers. In this workshop we will explore why a teacher's relationship with his or her students is so important to their learning and practical ways to build a relationship of trust.
How to build long-term memory: why creative revision deepens learning (40 min)
Every lesson in SRE is designed to add important truths from God's word to what students already know. With God's help, as knowledge grows, faith will follow. So what can we do to ensure every week that the truths from God's word are cemented into the students' long term memories to become a solid foundation for faith? In this workshop we will explore creative, simple and effective ways to revise the gems of faith learned from previous lessons and cement these into long term memory.
