SRE Development Training - Online Resource | Launching & Landing Lessons and Differentiation in SRE

Part 1 - Launching and Landing your Lessons.

When we meet someone new, first impressions count. Research shows the same is true of teaching. The way you begin your lesson has the power to set students up for learning success. Similarly, closing the lesson matters, too. The lasting impression you leave as you depart the classroom can be the first memory students have when recalling the lesson later. In this session, we will learn practical ways to "launch" and "land" our SRE lessons to help our students get the most out of class.

Part 2 - Differentiation in SRE: tailoring your lessons to meet individual needs

We all know that every student is unique, and no two students learn the same way. How do you help the student who is learning about God for the first time? How do you make sure they're not left behind when in the same class you have another student whose parents have been reading the Bible with them since they were a baby? How do you keep that student interested and engaged? And what about students with different levels of literacy, reading ability, and concentration levels? In this session, we will learn some strategies you can use to differentiate your teaching and tailor your lessons so that all students of all levels can engage with God's word.
