In this open rehearsal, we explore what it truly means to sing folk music. These songs—each created to tell the story of a moment, a person, or a place—place the singers at the heart of a community’s traditions, culture and values. It is incredible how varied the artforms are, and how each piece reveals something unique about the world at a singular point in time.
